Esgobuy fees & shipping, explained
We won't quote you invented numbers — real rates change and depend on your item and destination. Instead, here's exactly what you pay for and how each cost is calculated, so nothing surprises you at checkout.
Fast facts
Your total is the product price plus domestic China shipping, international shipping, and any optional services. Rates are dynamic, so confirm the live figure with Esgobuy’s Estimate tool rather than trusting a fixed number.
- Item cost + the seller’s domestic shipping to the Esgobuy warehouse.
- International shipping is billed on the greater of actual weight and volumetric (dimensional) weight.
- Optional value-added services (extra QC, repacking, longer storage) can add cost; import duties depend on your destination.
- Get a live quote from the official Esgobuy Estimate tool before you commit.
What each part of the bill is
| Cost | What it covers | When you pay |
|---|---|---|
| Item price | The seller's price for the goods themselves. | At order, up front |
| Domestic shipping | Seller → Esgobuy warehouse, inside China. | At order, with the item |
| Service & value-added | The agent's handling, plus any extras you request (extra photos, measuring, etc.). | Bundled with the order |
| International shipping | Warehouse → your country, on your chosen line. | After QC, within 72h of submitting |
We deliberately publish no fee percentages or price tables. For a live figure, use Esgobuy's own Estimate tool, which calculates from current rates for your route and weight.
Actual weight vs volumetric weight
International lines charge on the greater of two numbers.
- Actual weight — what the box weighs on a scale.
- Volumetric weight — how much space it takes up, worked out from length × width × height.
A pillow or a puffer jacket is light but bulky, so it's billed by volume. A pair of boots is compact but heavy, so it's billed by actual weight. Combining orders and choosing compressible items keeps costs down.
The final freight can differ slightly from an earlier estimate, because the real box is measured only after your items are consolidated.
Choosing a shipping line
When you submit a parcel you'll see several lines. Balance three things:
- Speed — express vs economy can be days vs weeks.
- Price — cheaper lines often exclude certain items or destinations.
- Restrictions — batteries, liquids and branded goods have limits. Check the entry/exit article rules first.

Tariffs & customs won't ignore you
Shipping rules to Europe have been changing fast. Esgobuy has posted several official notices about it — here's the plain-English takeaway.
What's been happening
- Some postal channels to the EU were temporarily suspended under the bloc's latest tax-reform policies.
- Esgobuy announced new fixed tariffs and channel adjustments for EU routes.
Summarised from Esgobuy's official announcements (June 2026). Rules change — confirm the current position on esgobuy.com before you ship.
What it means for you
- Check your country's tariff threshold — orders above it may attract import duty/VAT.
- Expect the available lines to your country to change over time; the cheapest one may not always be offered.
- Declared value and customs handling are set by carriers and your local authority, not by this guide.
We never promise a delivery date, a duty-free outcome, or a specific customs result. Those depend on carriers and your local customs — always read Esgobuy's current logistics notices before paying international shipping.
